We had an amazing stay! The house is beautiful and the amazing smell of wood is the first thing you’ll notice when you enter the house. The house was spotless and the kitchen great for cooking. We came in the summer, the mountains and lakes are breathtaking. Worth spending a few days there! We spent a week. You definitely will need a car to get around :).

If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and well outfitted space within walking distance of mountain trails, this is the place. Fuku lodge had everything we needed to make our time in Hakuba perfect. Yinfu was an incredible host. So helpful and kind. Would highly recommend!

Afu’s place was a great cabin in the woods. The house was clean and in a location to get around Hakuba so easy. The 7/11 within walking distance made those long ski days easier for when we wanted a quick bite to eat and a taxi to call (for those who don’t have a international number like us this was very convenient!). Cheers Afu and would totally love to come back one day!

Very beautiful cottage house which can accommodate up to 10 persons. Kitchen is setup with the thought of guests in mind. Fully functional kitchen. Even equipped with containers, kitchen towels, container for boiled water. Make me feel like visiting a friend’s house rather than staying in an Airbnb. The only 2 things which I find need area for improvements are the cold bathroom in the master bedroom and wood squeaky sound which can be heard on 1st floor when the people who stay 2nd floor walk. But that don’t really stop us from enjoying our stay in the little cottage. It’s the best stay in our trip in Japan.
Yinfu is such a good host, gave us a lot of advice on our first ski trip to Hakuba. No doubt a super host.- Julie -
